About this set
- The Compiègne Carriage was the former dining car and later saloon car in which the end of hostilities between the German Empire and the Entente forces was agreed upon in November 1918 on the clearing near Compiègne (First Armistice of Compiègne). In June 1940, the surrender of France to the German Reich was also signed there and in the same car (Second Armistice of Compiègne).
- The wagon is largely identical to set 6289.
- The set also includes six straight train tracks.
